Buried Alive

Samantha couldn't think of anything better then a tall glass of Smirnoff at this hour. But her natural urge to drink had to wait for a while. Now she had to get herself out of this predicament. In a small 27 by 30 sized coffin she lay, buried 10 feet deep under the warm Californian dirt. Took her most of the day to dig this damned ditch, but it was worth it. A lift remote controlled poured dirt back onto her as she lay there, to heal. The zombie epedemic had taken most of the world if not all. Samantha still had hope, but first she needed to remain alive. Her syrum that she had made just for her and her alone uses healed any wounds, erased fatigue and kept her going for days. It was the pill for sleep and she was the mass producer.

Guess all those chemistry high school classes paid off.

She smiled at herself as she checked her watch. Only a few minutes left untill she would be fuly charged and ready to go. "Might as well start." Manuvering a boughy knife from her side she cut into the thin wooden caseing above her. With a quick draw she cut threw and open.

The dirt poured out, but nothing she couldnt handel, having done this a million and one times she held her breath and started to climb.

The disease had taken so many lives and spread without warning. Some places were untouched, for a while. But like any airborn pathogen it traveled with the speed of mouth. Now over 80% of the world were pale, corpsey flesh eating zombies. Clawing her way up to the top, she'd barely seen sun rise. Catching glimpses of the rising sun she stood. For a moment it took her back. Back to her home in New York, and back to when her biggest worry was how late she would be for work. Running her fingers threw her dark long wavy hair she huffed and spat out a bit of dirt.

Time to start the day.

Walking down Sunset boulavard was something she only imagined in her dreams. Her dirt dusted double padded jeans and vested shirt seemed out of place in this once prestine street. A single pair of zombies came crossing off the greenery.

"I hate these f#ckers." Pulling her AK 47 out from her side holsetr she buried one right between ones eye and another in the leg. As the other writhed and died...she came over to the one truggking to get away.

"See you in hell." before she shot it in the eye ending is misery.
